Model 15

Inspired by my work on golden era guitars, the Model 15 aims to emulate them in the areas of tone and overall
vibe while utilizing more modern understandings of structure and materials.  Think L-00 meets 000-28.

"It's a small bodied instrument that is
very well suited to fingerstyle playing with a clear, bell-like tone and
plenty of volume."

"It's fun, it makes me want to play!"

Thanks for the words.

The standard Model 15 is "X" braced and includes first grade woods,
a nine ply rosette, fret markers at 5, 7 and 12, top binding with 2 layers
of purfling, back binding, and the logo inlay in the headstock.

Complete Specifications

Base Price:  $3500 Canadian

New Models

  • Model 16:  A larger version of the Model 15 with a sixteen inch lower bout currently under construction.  Gus will be the owner of the prototype, an Adirondack Spruce topped guitar with Wenge, (a dark African hardwood purported to be very loud and balanced) back and sides.  Once proven, I'll begin to build it for others.
  • Model 13:  A parlour size guitar I'm getting very excited about.  I'll build the first one in the fall.

  • Bracing Pattern:  While the “X” bracing pattern has become the standard, many players, (me included) still enjoy the immediacy, punch and strong fundamental of a ladder braced guitar.  An all mahogany Model 15 is underway.  I'm hoping it will be hard to part with.
